78-year-old pedestrian killed by truck in Westmoreland
A 78-year-old pedestrian has died from injuries he suffered after being hit by a truck in Westmoreland on Wednesday night.
He has been identified as Gerald Bembridge of Tank Hill, Negril, Westmoreland.
Bembridge was reportedly walking along the Whitehall Road in Negril when he was hit by a motor truck about 8:00 p.m
He was taken to the Savannah-la-Mar Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
The 37-year-old driver of the truck has been warned for prosecution.
The Negril Traffic Department is conducting an investigation into the matter.
